Hey LBCers? Did you feel the earth move under your feet a few minutes ago? A 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit 2 miles SSE of Long Beach (that's 20 miles SSE of the L.A. Civic Center) at 2:45 this afternoon, according to the USGS.

Most people on Twitter in the Long Beach and L.A. area seem to be saying they missed this one. "Earthquake? I didn't feel anything," said one Twitter user.

If you feel like scaring yourself, Quake Prediction said about 40 minutes before the 3.2 struck today "39 HOUR EARTHQUAKE WARNING; A very strong earthquake is likely in the Long Beach, Lake Elsinore area in next 39 hrs," and are now saying what happened this afternoon was a foreshock to the bigger one to come.

No matter if you believe the hype or not, a small jolt like this is a great reminder to be sure you have an earthquake response plan and emergency supplies.
